SnowShield is intended for protection of inlet ducts so that snow or water does not enter the building. Thanks to the profile and chamber construction, snow and water are effectively separated from the air stream. SnowShield’s main material component is aluminium, which means that the construction does not freeze. Air is also allowed in through the sides and bottom of the snow shield. The roof section slopes outwards. The lower part is made of perforated aluminium. The size of the SnowShield must be at least 600 mm higher and wider than the inlet duct in the wall. SnowShield’s water separation rate is greater than 99% with a surface velocity 0.6 m/sec (VTT’s measurement report 5.5.2003).
Long snow shields are manufactured in modules with a width of 930 mm. Thanks to the module’s design, a snow protection unit is very easy to assemble. SnowShield weighs only 10 kg/m².
SnowShield is made of aluminium that has been primed with an acid-based paint. The surface paint (RAL colours) is double, rust-proof pigmented polyurethane 2-component paint.
The SnowShield must be at least 600 mm wider and higher than the air intake.

SnöSkydd är avsedd för skydd av inloppskanaler så att snö eller vatten inte kommer in i byggnaden. Tack vare profil- och kammarkonstruktionen, avskiljs snö och vatten effektivt från luftströmmen. SnöSkydds huvudmaterial är aluminium vilket innebär att konstruktionen inte fryser. Luft släpps även in via snöskyddets sidor och botten. Takdelen sluttar utåt. Bottendelen är tillverkad av perforerad aluminium. Snöskyddets storlek ska vara minst 600 mm högre och bredare än inloppskanalen i väggen. SnöSkydds vattenavskiljningsgrad är över 99% med en ythastighet 0,6 m/sek (VTT:s mätrapport 5.5.2003).
