Sava acts as both silencer and damper located in supply air and exhaust air ducts. Sava is a perfect silencer that can be mounted at a cleaning hatch whist at the same time controlling the amount of air in the duct

FUNCTION

Sava is a damper for circular ducts. It consists entirely of soft elastic foam and has excellent sound attenuation properties.

The damper has a control wing which is placed in holes at different angles. Pressure drop across the damper is affected by the placement of the Sava’s control wing. The special material and the shape of the damper yields a low noise output even with high pressure drops.

Sava is easily inserted in circular channels – either by pushing the damper through the end of the duct or by placing it in the middle of the duct alongside a cleaning hatch. Sava is kept in place by friction. If need be, the Sava can be screwed onto the cleaning hatch. When cleaning the duct, remove the Sava and vacuum clean or replace it. Then, it should be replaced ensuring that the control wing is in the same position as before.

Sava is constructed from polyester that meets the SBI test: a B-rated fire resistance test (B, sl, d0) in accordance with standard EN 13823. Sava also contains a small amount of foam plastic corresponding with emission class M1.

INSTALLATION

Placing Sava in circular ducts is a simple matter – either by pushing the damper through the end of the duct or by placing it in the middle of the duct close to a cleaning hatch.
Sava uses the effect of friction to stay in place. But, if need be, it can be screwed onto the cleaning hatch instead. When cleaning the duct, remove Sava and vacuum clean, or simply replace it. Then, reinstall ensuring the control wing is in the same position as before.
